Zoom Zoom BE-BE!!

All this time I've been thinking cars were called machinas.  Apparently I was mistaken... Ryn-Alina set me straight on that today.  Anything with wheels is called "be-be", and both girls are crazy about them.  One of the good things about being in the big music room is that there's lots of room and a few bigger toys that the kids can play with.  One of the favorite toys is a pink, previously battery-powered (now Mommy or Dae-Dae powered), plastic Volkswagen convertible that both of the girls love to play in.  That's unfortunate because they don't necessarily like to play in it TOGETHER.  I learned today that if be-be is going to be in the room we're going to have two wild children and lots of fights.

Still, before I learned that valuable lesson (which I did learn fairly quickly when Maggie tried to pick Ryn up and throw her out of the car and then when Ryn tried to step over Maggie's head to get back in the car) I learned the proper name for all those fun things with wheels.  Ryn kept crying for be-be, and I kept trying to give her various dolls -- thinking she'd already started calling them babies.  One by one they hit the floor -- poor Leap never even saw it coming.  She was just getting madder at me until she finally stomped over to the other side of the room where the car was sitting yelling "be-be, be-be, be-be" at the top of her lungs.  Of course, that was about the time the fighting broke out and "be-be" had to leave the room.  Mean old Mommy!

              Faster Dae-Dae!  Faster!!

But that wasn't all the fun in the big room.  They also have one of those little play boxes with all the colored balls in it.  After be-be left the room the ball pit became Maggie's and ZhaZha Dae Dae's favorite play area.  There was a basket of bigger balls beside the pit, so Dave threw all those in there too.  They spent the next hour playing basketball with all those balls.  He'd hold the basket just a little away and Maggie would throw all the balls in the basket.  (Look out WNBA!)  I don't know that I've heard her laugh so hard.  By the end of the day she was so thoroughly in love with ZhaZha Dae Dae that she informed me that she didn't want Mama!  Oh yeah -- I bet that won't be the last time I hear that one!

"I think I'll name him Dae Dae."
