Welcome to the Adventures of the Amazing Hunter Girls!

This page is dedicated to sharing the exciting story of how the Hunter Girls became part of the Hunter Gang.  Before we start on that great story though, I thought you might like a little bit of the background stuff.  For example – who is Mommy Hunter?  What’s a Hunter Gang?  Who are the Amazing Hunter Girls?  Who invented liquid soap – and why?

My name is Cyndi Hunter, and very soon I’ll become Mommy Hunter.  Wow.  Still feels a little weird to even say that, but it’s the best weird I’ve ever felt!  So, how did I get here?  What makes someone decide to go from Cyndi Hunter to Mommy Hunter?

One afternoon in August 2004, I had an opportunity to take a good, long look at my life and I realized that it was very, very good.  I have been blessed more than I can even express.  I have a wonderful, loving, supportive family made up of the most amazing people you could ever know.

I have a challenging and rewarding job at Tanner Health System, where I’m able to do so many of the things I love best.

I have a great home that’s way too big for just me and the Sophie-dog.

I have friends who love me and laugh with me and help me grow and learn every day.

In short – I realized I have a GREAT life.  Just nearly every dream I’ve ever had has come true, except the biggest and the best.

As a little kid, I always wanted to be a Mommy.  Of course, I was also going to be a teacher, an actress and a world-famous singer, but I wanted to be a Mommy first and foremost.  Now I’ve done the rest (you just had to see me as Dolly Parton in Tanner Idol – oh yeah… I’m a star!), but none of those dreams were as real or as dear to me as the dream of being a Mommy.  I finally realized that maybe everything was finally in place and I could consider becoming a single Mom.

As with any great journey, there were some interesting diversions and extra adventures along the way, but in October 2005 I finally received the first pictures of my Maybe Babies – and I fell in love.  With the help of my dear friends at Journey Home Adoptions, Cathryn and Colene, I waddled through the massive paper pregnancy, chased down notaries and apostilles, got fingerprinted and checked by every official-sounding agency you can think of, held my breath for visas and LOIs and now – finally – I’m on my way to Tschuchinsk, Kazakhstan to meet my girls.  And now we’re ready to start …
