I never thought I would be excited about seeing the temp at -15. Yes, today we have a heat wave, so 3 of the 4 Vigale's went for a walk to the grocery store. Yes if you were to ask Isabel if she enjoyed it, her answer would surely be NO, but I think we all needed it. We are kind of getting in to a rut. While we love going to the baby house and seeing our son and seeing how happy he is to see us; we are doing the same thing 2x a day, every day. Dominic said can't we just have him for the day??????, then we can really get to know him and start our life as a family of 4. All in good time, I know I just want it NOW.

It is funny, now he fusses when I am feeding him. Maybe he just wants to play. I whispered in his ear just please eat; they will think I do not know what I'm doing. He smiled and then continued to fuss even more. Another child who does not listen, oh well. Today was a first; they did not have to change him due to me spilling the tea all over him. Today I was brave enough to hold the bowl under his chin like the care givers do, and it worked really well, they even clapped for me.

Last night we went out to dinner to a new Russian café. The food was excellent. I had some kind of veggie soup, stuffed cabbage, mashed potatoes and really good coffee. No I would never eat this at home, but we are not at home, so we are all trying new things. Even Isabel said last night “DON'T SAY ANY THING MOM, OK”, no problem, I guess she was a little hungry.

Tonight another Semey mom suggested we try the Pizza here, it is also by the Koffee Man. Pizza and coffee sounds good to be, even though I really don't like pizza. Coffee and dessert will be good for me.

We have to tell our in country team our babies new name. Help! We have 3 names all very different, but by the time you read this it will be decided and will be announced at the end of this post (we think}. Ok Carolyn, we hear you saying “what’s the problem, just pick a name already”!!!!!!!!

We have received such great support from so many of you through your comments and on our email we thank you all for this. We are at the 2 week mark and feeling a little home sick, but want to take everything in because in a blink of an eye it will all just be a wonderful memory. We will always leave a little of our heart here in Semey, and will be forever grateful for giving us our son.

Now it is time to pack up and go for our afternoon visit. It is so hard to keep track of the days as each day is the same. We think it is Sat, when we arrived at the baby house the care givers told us he was still sleeping and had been asleep for almost 3 hours since we had left from the morning, I guess we tired him out. When they brought him in he was still half asleep, but gave us a huge smile. Next it was time for lunch and today it was meat and mashed potatoes mixed with carrots and a fruit tea. He was very hungry and ate very fast and drank all the tea without spilling anything. Way to go, good boy, now play time begins. He was full of energy and was in to all the toys and wanted to stand and bounce for as long as anyone is willing to hold him. Then he began to talk and talk to anyone who would listen, then he began to roll every where it was hard to keep him on the blanket. We have not seen him so active’ that’s what a 3 hour nap can do for you. He loves to study Isabel's face and hands, and it is so cute they really love each other. Although, she said she is not coming back to bring him home unless we are able to fly first class, so any takers to come with me to our son’s birth country, promise it will be warmer!!!!!!!

We have been away from home now for 2 weeks in some ways it seems like yesterday, and some ways it seems forever, as so many life changing events have happened. It’s hard to grasp, I really think Isabel is starting to miss her life back home, mainly her friends. She has been wonderful so far and has not really done anything for herself, although she did go bowling and had a great time. Hopefully the weather will get warmer and we will be able to explore the town a little more.

As far as a name you will have to wait on that. We do have one, but want to wait until  after court, sorry.
